Thanks for your interest in my mouthpieces, and thanks to the gentlemen below for their kind words. I am pleased to say that lot of folks have reported great success with the MF3 in the Mirafone tubas. I attribute this to a combination of many factors, mainly the cup shape, volume, and throat diameter. My MF3 is similar to the Rose Orchestra in volume, but has a smoother funnel shape at the bottom of the cup and throat. (The Rose is slightly rounded here,I believe they call it the "combination cup"). My MF3 is also a bit wider in diameter.
Please don't hesitate to e-mail me for a more personal consultation, and check out my web-site for all the specs and to read some of the testimonials. I am also pleased to announce that in addition to Lee Stofer Music Service (770-603-6088), Low Brass Werks (408-377-3493) and the Tuba Exchange (1-800-869-TUBA) are now carrying my mouthpieces.
