My understanding is that Anton Hellebeg was the very first tubaist of the Chicago Symphony and a designer of note. His mouthpiece designs are the ones that are referred to, although there has been a lot of "artistic license" applied to the designs. There was never a single model as Anton made several different ones. Seems like the Helleberg designation has come to mean about any funnel shaped mouthpiece as opposed to the cup style like Bach uses. I can't remember where I read this information or I would direct you to the site.
