For the record, I do not know Mr. Olka. Fortunately, he plays in my hometown, and I've had the good fortune to hear him live on a number of occassions. The performance with Pokorny and Keating was 20 feet in front of me. Given what I heard, I woudn't presume to suggest that Mr. Olka should have done anything different at his audition. But, go ahead and speculate on what weakness he, and the others, should work on in order to be successful at the next audition. After all, since only one person was selected, the others must be inadequate in some way that they should correct.
