It is possible to get Besson's in F which is the tuba Phil Catelinet premiered the R. V. Williams Concerto using. I also got a new one in Toronto which I later sold to the Carnegie-Mellon University. It was a compensating F tuba and was very well in tune but as do all F tubas it lacked much fundamental below the bass clef staff!
