Likely, a 6/4 tuba bell would splice into the large end of the 1st branch (of a 40K) and end up being just about the right length.
Admittedly, tuba bells this size aren't commonly found in refuse piles behind shopping centers, but last year at least three were available from different sources (Balt., dp, "tuba nurse"...possibly others).
A problem would be balance (weight distribution), but with the extra valve and tons of extra tubing on the 40K adding mass, a 40K body may well "balast" a 6/4 bell hanging out there...
Of course, there might be a good argument for not "wasting" a perfectly good 40K...
