...experience with today's college students, they are for the most part terrible singers. Some couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, and some are just too scared of the sound of their own singing voice to try very hard. Very disturbing. What disturbs me more, however, is that they have little or no ability to play even the simplest tunes by ear on their instrument.
