What Joe said, but also consider the following lazy man's method:
If you have access to a swimming pool or other large body of water, plug the leadpipe, invert the horn and immerse under the water. Watch for bubbles. The air is trapped in the inverted horn and compressed.
Wash the horn out after you're though to get all the chlorine and other junk out.
