I've only played the prototype so far, but Miraphone says that I should have my first shipment of these in around mid-December. I played the prototype at the Midwest Clinics last December and I was literally floored by this horn. I have never, in my life, played a tuba with such an incredible low range. Playing this horn in the low register is like playing any other horn in the mid register - it's sort of like, Zen tuba - you just think the notes and they happen. After about two minutes on it I turned to my wife Denise and said "I gotta get me one of these!". Big , beautiful voice; compact frame; great valves; comfortable to play and to hold; great intonation. I feel so strongly about this horn that I am buying one for personal use.
