Purchased Miraphone 186 BBb in 1981 for quintet playing (didn't know better -- played BBb in high school, didn't play in college).
Sold 186 in ~1994 to switch to Eb for quintet.
Purchased an old HN White Monster Eb (3v) to get started on. 1994
Sold to Kleinsteuber (now a 5V Eb on his web page) and bought an old 4V Eb. 1995
Traded 4V Eb for a Besson 983 arund 1996.
Sold Besson 983 Eb to switch to F tuba to try to cover quintet and quartet playing with one horn -- a 3/4 Amati 6V F -- circa 2000.
Found Amati a bit small for quintet and traded for YFB-621 AND a Miraphone 186-4V CC -- around 2001.
No longer using 3/4 F and sold in early 2003. Still using 186 CC for almost everything.
Decided I may still have occasional use for a 3/4 F and am looking at another 3/4 Amati F at present.
Only the Besson 983 was purchased new, of all tubas purchased.
