Ya, I have the same exact problem and it bugs the heck out of me. I realized that when that happens, it's partly because the spit is returning back out of the mouthpiece. So just like Andrew said is to lean more forward.
Another thing that I try to do (and this depends on the climate and "season", if you have a certain period when you salivary glands are more active) is to keep sucking in your spit and swallowing until you sucked out all moisture and liquid from the inside of your mouth. I do this especially before doing solo or chamber stuff because it sucks when just simply as spit gets in the way of your playing. It's just something that you have to work around and live with.
