The Fafner is a great horn. Amazingly nimble for its size. Requires a lot of focus to get the best sound and is fairly slotted. Great for large ensembles but would work in smaller ones OK. Resonabley comfortable to play. If you want the German rotary sound, this is a real contender. No question as to where it is located in a group.
BUT...I still like my 1291 better :).
