I used to own a Kroner BB-falt 4 valve rotor. Incredible tuba and I have kicked myself many times for letting it go. It played very flat so I had the main slide and the first slide shortened. It helped a great deal. I could have had the 1st slide shortened even more. I also had the linkage changed from the old "S" linkage. It was a solid German built horn, closer to an Alex than anything if that helps describe the sound, the design and shape. Big dark, German sound. Wonderful response and range. Llike I said, I have kicked myself many times. I sat in with a group in Livonia, Michigan while I had this horn and one of the other tuba players walked in with a Kroner CC. Both of these horns were the only other Kroners that either of us had seen or have seen to date.

If you have one or access to one I would say get it!!
