I use a Lehman Special 'M' mouthpiece with my 842S that Dave Houser made, and also a Doug Elliott setup (XT105 gold rim, XT J cup, J8 shank). Both work very well with the horn, but I'm using the Lehman more now since it's much more open (I'm also playing a lot of Eb tuba). I had a Denis Wick SM3 that I used this summer after I had first gotten the horn, and it worked very well. Also, the Yamaha 53H that came with it works very well.
