Bad move. I have had both horns. I sold the 983 and still have the 981. Best EEb I have ever played. The 983 suffers from a number of defects including the value ergonomics, a lighter sound, and poorer construction quality. Boy you should see the poor soldering at many places on the 983. It looked as if the horn was put together by a trainee.
