Morris is one of the top players in NYC. In a short time he has really made a niche for himself playing on Broadway and in various orchestras and ensembles in the city. I remember going to hear a major American symphony at Carnegie Hall. As I approached the entry way into the hall, I could hear some fabulous tuba playing going on. I entered the hal and there was Morris warming up on stage ready to read down Mahler 6th....without a rehearsal! And he sounded fabulous. To refer back to the original post asking who one should study tuba with here in NYC, don't forget to add Morris to that list!
