I need some suggestions how how to help a young beginning tuba player get the idea how to use his embrochure to change pitch. It's rather interesting, he can do fairly well from low B-flat to F. After that, nothing either his band teacher or I offer seems to work. He's a very bright kid, has the fingering down cold. He's a gamer, keeps trying, but we don't seem to have the "magic" explaination. I play, he plays, he matchs pitch until we get to G. Then it's likely going to be D that comes out. I'll accept any ideas, suggestions, tips, pointer, tricks, techniques, or methods anyone can come up with.
