How I learned to play loud on my horn with a good sound:
The most important thing is to find where the center of the tone is on the horn; within any note, you can vary your buzz in pitch quite a bit. At some point you will notice that the horn "wants" to resonate more, and this is the center of the pitch. Memorize the sound of this centered pitch, and try to play this particular sound louder and louder.
This doesn't address your double buzz question, but it might help you to play your horn louder.
