You don't say what kind of tuba it is and leave us to guess that it is a BBb 4 valve horn. Did I get that right? I think the answer to your problem is to do both things; get your horn and have the school fix this or replace it. Before you fill it with water, spray powder deodorant on all the valve tubes and joints. When the water leaks through
it will wash the deodorant away and the leaks will become easier to see. But the best thing to do is to find a good man, like Klaus, who can tell you whether it is advisable to fix the horn or not. This is quite a decision to shift to a high school student alone.
