It depends, in part, on what type of playing you'll be doing in the next few years. If it's exclusively band and solo/quintet, a good BBb is all you'll need to establish your basics. If you're going to be doing some orchestral playing, particularly if it's at an advanced level (all-state orchestra, etc.), you might want to investigate a CC. I've had a number of students over the years that have done quite well with the "piggy" Czerveny CC tuba; these can be found used at a reasonable price. That said, at least one major orchestra's tubist uses BBb's as his big horns.

This is a good question to run by your private teacher, if you have one. If not, consider sturying with one. If by "after college" you mean you intend to go pro, you're at a good point to start serious study. A teacher can help you pick a horn to fits your needs, help you get a new one at a healthy discount, or pick a used one without getting stung.
