I have tried for many years to obtain the best solution for this type of pad. This is what my efforts have spawned: I take a standard mouse pad and cut it into quarters and then epoxy two together (mouse surface to mouse surface) with and store bought two part fired epoxy. I let that set for a day and then score cubes into both faces (with a box knife) to privide for flexibility and to increase the gripping area. These tend last about a year each and I can throw them into a case for each horn if I currently have more than one. This usually only cost about 2.50-3.00 per mouse pad which makes two "lap pads". Give it a try if you are willing.

Good Luck,

Matt G
