It must be this thread, that lead to a friendly mail from a hitherto to me unknow private tuba player.
I was told that the Courtois BBb compensating tuba could be had in the US at a price so low, that I despite the added costs of shipping, customs, and sales taxes would be better off buying it in the US compared to dealing in France or in my own country.
Would it be possible to have the US prices of the laquered and silverplated versions presented in this forum.
I must admit to be surprised, that a detour forth and back over the pond would give me the best deal. And I am not fully convinced yet.
