I like the Altieri bags in general, but I prefer the Reunion Blues myself. The material on the outside is much heavier and seems to resist sharp pointy things more effectively. And the padding foam is denser. But mostly it's the side-loading. I put several dents on my old Sanders just wrestling it in and out of the Altieri bag. I traded the bag for an RB, and the problem disappeared.
But if I carried a tuba backpack-style very much, I'd prefer the shoulder straps on the Altieri.
