first of all, anytime you pick up your horn, whether to fool around on it, or play seriously, always drop the jaw as much as possible while staying in tune. make sure your teeth are open, not closed, (an opening the size of a pencil) do this everytime you play so it becomes habit. practice long tones at the dynamic of fffff (super loud) and then....you need to make sure you practice...........a lot.
