Even w/o reading treble clef, you can still play those trumpet studies. Simply add three flats (so a piece written in c would be played in Eb) and read it as though it were bass clef (so middle c becomes an e/eb below the staff). While this will not work if you are trying to play this with a piano (or other) accomp., it works fine for etude-type stuff. Hope this helps.
