Conn did produce the fiberglass sousas with short-action valves for a while. My college had a set of 12 of them, the original 8 being purchased in 1968 (the fiberglass horns were retired in 1983). The fiberglass branches are similar to the brass ones on my 20K, and the valve set is the same. I do recall seeing the fiberglass horn with sort action valves being listed in Conn catalogues in the early 1980's. I don't believe that they make these anymore, as all of the short-action valve clusters are now in need for the high demand on 20K's.
