Do you have a straight mute already?
What I do is slide a 6in X 2 1/2 in think ring of foam around it about 1/3 way up the mute over the corks and then play the mute with the foam around it.
Works great and makes 2 mutes out of 1.
hope you have a straight or buy a straight instead.
