And of course, I forgot to mention, one has the prospect of the trombone player not being able to play the euphonium very well. I have heard one particular orchestra in concert on several occations where an absolutely fabulous trombone player (whose name and orchestra shall not be mentioned) have made an absolute a*** of himself trying to play both the above mentioned solo, the planets, don Quixote and more, on the euphonium.
