just to add in some flavor to the discussioni thought i'd say that i love my st pete BBb and although i havent played a CC yet i'm willing to bet it'll be about the same. sure the thing'll get a dent if you breath on it wrong, but hey it's a musical instrument, last i checked you didn't bang into things with a musical instrument.(btw i've had my st pete for 2 years and only put one tiny ding in it and that was just because i had a bass drum mallet thrown at me) i'd also like to say that i've played a few conn tubas before and i just plain dont like them. go ahead and hate me if you want but that's the way i feel.
