I think I understand the differences between "American" and "German" tubas, but I have no idea what is meant by "the Besson sound" (I have never played a Besson anything, but I have listened to Patrick Sheridan recordings, which just sound good, to me). Can some of you who have played Besson and other styles of tubas enlighten me? Thanks.
