For me, the most important things in a horn are:
1. tone
2. even response in all registers from high to low
3. valves that allow easy transition between notes with no gaps or glitches
4. intonation that can be compensated for without having to go to extremes or excessive slide pulls or awkward fingerings
What's most important to you? What have I missed?
