Hey Gang,
I had a famous mouthpiece maker make an adapter for me. Real old Conn and York tubas sometimes take the small size like old Besson tubas. This shank size is very similar to a bass trombone shank size. I had an adapter made that will fit in the smaller reciever and then take an American shank mouthpiece. It adds less than 1 inch to the overall length of the horn. That equates to the main tuning slide needing to go in 1/2" or less.
Price will be $50 in raw brass and $60 in silver plated. This is a way you can keep your vintage horn original and still try a larger variety of mouthpieces. He mad up 5 to start with. I don't expect to sell many but every old tuba tinkerer may want one.

Also, I will be away on vacation from the 18th to the 24th of October. If you drop me an E-mail I be glad to get to it as soon as possible. Matt
