Okay, I have a personal dilemma that I really really need to work out... and before you state your answer, really consider the facts that I'm about to present.

I've been selected to try out for the Texas all-state choir, and everyone I know says that I have a huge chance to make it.

I also have a chance of becoming the first chair all-state Tuba player.

The problem here is that I really want to be challenged. I've played with 2 different all-state bands, and I'm really into band, but I'm also really into choir.

My current solution is to research the pieces being performed by the all-state band/orchestra and compare them to the choir pieces. If the parts in the band aren't challenging, I'll go with choir, because I've seen that music and it's REALLY challenging. I'm really leaning towards band, but I want to approach this with a level head.

Also, I need to make this decision by November 8th (that's the all-region orchestra tryout in which I'm certified for Area band if I make it). Any and all advice would be -greatly- appreciated! Thanks! =^)
