The MW-25 is a well made, nice playing, good all around BBb tuba. The tuning slides are accessable from the top which makes it easy to pull any of them should you need to, but intonation is generally good so not much slide pulling is usually required. I have tried other horns that I prefer, but you probably couldn't go wrong buying one of these. Call and talk to Dave about it and he will give you an honest assessment.
Like any other instrument I would suggest playing the specific horn before buying anything, but that isn't always possible. At least David offers a trial period so that you would only have to pay shipping if you order this and decide that it isn't for you.
