I've been trying to come to grips with Miraphone model numbers (in particular rotary CC tubas). I've played 186s, and seen pics of 188s (the pics on the Baltimore Brass site look identical). How do they differ?
The Miraphone site isn't too helpful, with serial numbers like "180086B11000 " and "180086B07000 ", very few pics and a general description (ie no bore dimensions, etc) only.
The Dillonmusic site only has info on BBflat tubas.
Any info (including playing characteristics) appreciated...
