I'm still struggling to get a better sound out of the low range of my F tuba, but I'd still druther struggle than play one of the easier F's whose sound resembles more that of a euphonium. Europeans, in general, are more compatible with finnesse than with brute force, and Americans the other way around. It's just a culture thing.
