They really are bad horns. At my (high)school, there are 6 tubas in my band. We had 2 (semi) new jupiters at the beginning of the year, and the people that play them wish they had not chosen the jupiter (our other horns are old conn 14k's, which can blow a bit bright but play pretty good in my oppinion, for a sousaphone). My school bought another new jupiter a few weeks in to school, and no one will even touch it. They are stuffy, the intonation is bad in general, more importantly the intonation is INFLEXIBLE, not to mention the things are HEAVY. My school bought one last year too, and when we got it, the first valve didn't even move. The guide was screwed up. I would not reccommend these horns to ANYONE, in fact I dis-reccommend them. (is that a word?) Just a word of advice (or 143);)
