I just got my 982 back from the shop. I sent it off to Harvey Hartman (of Harv's Happy Horns) to get a 981 lead pipe installed on the horn. The new leadpipe makes a world of difference in how the horn blows. The 981 leadpipe is about 1.5 inches shorter than the 982 leadpipe. It does not have that funny bend in it so it is also a much straighter pipe and it fits about 2 inches lower on the bell. He also mounted the leadpipe off the bell of the horn. It sure does look sharp. Harvey also took out a couple of small dinks on the horn. The horn has never looked as good or played as well. If you need any work done to your own horn I would recommend Harvey. He won't lead you wrong.

Here is the thing though. I now have 2 Eb horns. I'm not interested in selling the 982 outright but would be willing to work out a trade on a CC horn. If you are looking for a nice Eb horn and have an extra CC laying about feel free to e-mail me. Maybe we can work out something out. Thanks.
