I have one and love it. Mine has very good intonation and a nice sound. It is comfortable for me to hold. It is particularly well suited to solos and small stuff. In Tuba ensembles it gives a nices tonal color between the Contrabasses and the Euphoniums. I would think that it may be an ideal horn to cover cimbasso parts in opera orchestra and it sings on the Bydlo and other upper register orchestral pieces. It is, for me, an ideal second tuba. It does not deliver enough power to be most peoples' primary horn.
