The 621 series followed designs by Renold Schilke, apparently using parts that Yamaha made available to develop prototypes for the Canadian Brass, or something like that. The production horns are a lot closer to what the designer intended. Even if the 641 was "inspired" by an Alexander, it missed something critically important. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting, not the recipe.
