I still think rather than some non-refundable or heavy round-trip trans-Atlantic shipping expenses (plus duty, insurance, etc.) it would be best to advertise something like that in the London papers, as London could almost be considered the "capital city" of euphonium playing, is one of the largest cities in the world, and surely has dozens of potential buyers at any given moment.

That way, with low-cost round-trip domestic shipping (or a potential customer driving over to carefully examine the instrument as a weekend day-trip), someone could examine the pistons, determine whether or not they were pitted and heavily buffed down, whether or not the pistons had some odd inappropriate coating over the pitted, worn, and buffed-down surfaces (such as silver plating, etc.), and whether or not the instrument had been altered from an original "high pitch" instrument. Again, all of this sort of information is essential and should be volunteered when someone expresses strong interest - even for domestic sales.
