That all depends upon thickness, so it could conceivably be made lighter. The main thing is that, due to material costs and more intensive labor, it would mainly be heavy on your bank account. To make them affordable, a lot of them would have to be made, and manufacturers aren't about to take that risk in today's atmosphere.
