If you can read treble clef, there is a huge amount of Baroque-era duet music available. The designation is usually for "two treble instruments," which means a pair of violins or flutes or oboes or recorders. Mostly, the lowest note is the D just below the treble staff (the bottom note of the baroque flute), and the top note for the easier stuff is two octaves above that. More advanced music can go abour half an octave higher. Reading it down two octaves mostly fits well for all tubas, but the more advanced stuff would be more comfortable on Eb or F tubas.

I don't think these sorts of pieces would work well transposed down -- the harmonies would be too close for such low pitches. Transposing up could work. [Alto recorder players are used to reading these up a minor third, as that instrument's lowest note is the F above middle C.]
