I've yet to hear Russ play it, and I haven't tried it myself. I do hope to get up to his place someday. However, I did get a close look at it, and that's exactly what the horn looks like. The bell looks pretty fat to me, so it's probably more like a big 4/4, or small 5/4 body. It also has a nicely positioned throw for the second valve slide. The craftsmenship looked great to me as well. I can see why many Rudi players are real loyal. Russ has been using it a lot for quintet work, as well as Reno Phil. Thus, it's proving to be real versatile.
