You possibly lucked into one of the Holtons that does not have the horribly flat 3rd partial. (That would be "open F" at the bottom of the bass clef staff.)

I'm sure you can find testimonials other than mine as to 3rd partial pitches on large Holton tubas as flat as I have observed.

For (possibly) less than $100, you could have someone shorten your first valve slide assembly so that you could push in for C and C# and pull back out for Eb in the staff and the Ab's...or "split the difference", leaving the slide halfway between correct intonation for the C-C# and Eb/Ab's.

If you wait long enough, someone will suggest a mouthpiece that will fix your C-C# problem. ;^)

...your name...Bohemian (??) origin?...' have never before encountered it.
