I also bought a tuba from him. It was a gold brass BBb which needed some work. It is unmarked, but is a very well-made horn, and plays nicely now that the critical repairs have been done. I would like to know more about the history of European tubas and makers; it appears that master tubameisters learned their craft along regional styles, and that there are some characteristics that help to identify the source and quality of an instrument.
