On my old King I'm also using a Rudolf Meinl #1. When I got the horn from the shop after being made playable I tested over a dozen mouthpieces of all shapes and sizes with my teacher. At that time the winner was a Bach 18 which was good becuase it was one of mine. This summer I picked up the RM 1 for a steal of a price and I like it better. More core, great lower register. The low end is way better on this horn then the old style King. I've only tooted the new one for about 2 minutes. It's bottom end was better than the old style King, but I thought mine was better still.
