Why do you think that a "CC tuba is the worst key of toba to attempt dixie on"? It's pitched between the BBb and Eb tubas that are more traditionally used in Dixieland music. And, CC tubas can play well in all keys, just like BBb, Eb and F tubas. What am I missing?
