I would imagine that most dealers would accept a trade-in. I know that Dillon Music does. The bigger question is how much any of them will give you on a trade. If you can't wait, a trade-in is a way to go, but if you can wait a little, you can usually do better by selling the tuba first, either on your own or on consignment.
