I have an old St. Pete also and a very old Helleberg that fits into it just fine. How much clearance would you be confortable with? I never use the Helleberg. I have found that Marcinkewicz (sp?) mouthpieces fit well also.
The Helleberg is gold plated and has no other info on it except CONN HELLEBERG.
