I agree that my Besson is very versatile, however I just recently started playing my PT-10P a lot more. I used to think it was stuffy in the low register, but now that I have learned to blow it, I don't find that true anymore. The thing of it is, I used to think my E-flat had this exotic British sound, but all of a sudden I am thinking my F sound is perfectly sweet, and I am starting to prefer it over the dark brass band sound.
That's just my opinion. There are some things I prefer a certain sound on over the other. In any case, improving CC tuba playing has made my sound better on all the horns.
